News & Press ReleasesHotelier stands
Well known local hotelier Chris Robertshaw is the latest candidate to announce he's standing for a seat in the House of Keys. He wants one of the Douglas East seats in November's General Election. Mr Robertshaw says Tynwald has become a club for sitting members and lost touch with the people. He says changes should include a reduction in the number of ministers, a more open government and a Legislative Council elected by the public. The 57 year old recently retired as managing director of the Sefton Hotel and has been involved with the Department of Tourism in marketing the Isle of Man. News Feed
