News & Press ReleasesBNP support "phenomenal"
The controversial British National Party says there's been a massive response from the Manx public after a recent leafleting campaign in the Island. Amy Mulhern reports.............. There was anger last month when thousands of homes were visited by members looking for support in the Isle of Man. The party also wants to put a candidate forward in November's general election. Lately it's been attempting to distance itself from racist organisations such as the National Front, but the policy on immigration is absolute – they are calling for all further immigration to the UK to be halted. Northwest Regional Organiser for the BNP Roy Goodwin says the amount of interest has been phenomenal - He claims the party has recieved hundreds of pounds in donations from Island residents. Mr Goodwin is to fly to the Isle of Man tomorrow to meet with those who responded to the leaflets and discuss the possiblity of political representation in the House of Keys. Energy FM News News Feed
