News & Press ReleasesRamsey requisition meeting
Ramsey candidates will address voters at a requisition meeting this evening. The election in the town will be one of the most closely watched with three popular politicians battling for just two seats. Former Legislative Council Member Leonard Singer is hoping to take one of the places currently held by Alan Bell and Anne Craine who're both seeking re-election. Mr Singer says he was asked to stand for the House of Keys by constituants, on the back of the campaign to restore 24 hour cover at Ramsey Cottage Hospital. However, the move came underfire when, after his announcement, Mr Singer failed to resign immediately from LegCo - although he has since tendered his resignation. Tonight's meeting is at the Ramsey Grammar School West Building at 7.30 and residents will also hear from the forth candidate, Nigel Malpass. Energy FM News News Feed
