Factor X night for candidates

Political lobby group Positive Action Group continues its series of pre-election events with a hustings evening at the Empress Hotel, Douglas on Monday 30th October 2006 at 7.30 pm.

The event called ‘FACTOR X - have they got it?’ provides an opportunity for new candidates to speak for a few minutes on a national topic of their choice and to be questioned about it by the audience.

The voice of experience will be provided by Douglas East MHK Brenda Cannell with 8 other new candidates from Island wide.

Chair of PAG Roger Tomlinson said: ‘This should be a lively political happening in the run up to the General Election on November 23rd and helps fulfill our aim of encouraging fresh political talent and getting national issues debated. The event is free and all are welcome – just turn up on the night.’
