Lack of election candidates in five local authorities
Publication Date: Sat, 29 Mar 2008
Five of the Island's local authorities are having to re-advertise for candidates for next month's elections.
Not enough people have put themselves forward to stand for the elections on 24th April.
Port Erin, Port St Mary, Bride, Peel and Rushen are all short of candidates to fill the seats.
Details of those standing for election have now been released by the majority of local authorities.
They're subject to any withdrawals or objections between now and 2pm on Monday.
