Tynwald is debating whether the public should get to choose the Chief Minister and Members of the Legislative Council.
South Douglas MHK Bill Malarkey has moved that a referendum should take place.
Mr Malarkey wants people to vote on 29th September, the same day as the House of Keys Elections...[play clip]
