Election proposals to go before LegCo
Mon, 13 Jun 2011
Proposed new laws which would change the political constituencies of the Isle of Man will go before the Legislative Council this week.
The Electoral Reform Bill would see eight areas each electing three MHKs.
The Bill also suggests each constituency should elect a Member of the Legislative Council.
Should the changes be approved, they wouldn't be brought in in time to affect this year's General Election.
MLC David Callister will give the Bill its first reading in LegCo tomorrow.
