Constituents come first for Liberal Vannin candidate

A Liberal Vannin election candidate says he wouldn't let the Party's policies get in the way of helping a constituent.
Chris Thomas is the Party's candidate for Douglas West, and its spokesman for economy and business.
Amongst the Party's priorities are cutting the number of political members in Government departments, and making Tynwald members contribute towards their pensions.
Mr Thomas says being tied to a party wouldn't prevent him dealing with constituency matters [play clip]
Outgoing members John Shimmin and Geoff Corkish are also standing in the constituency, along with challenger John Skinner, who is a retired fireman.
